Our Waterfront Oasis project is a three story new build on Lake LBJ, just a short drive away from Austin. This lake house was built to be a vacation home and AirBnb, so that was kept in mind when picking finishes and sourcing furniture throughout the house. Since we touched every room in this house, the project took just around a year to complete and we are so excited to share all the fun spaces we worked on!
KITCHEN
The main floor of Waterfront Oasis includes a large outdoor patio that flows into the kitchen and living space, as well as a powder bath and primary suite. We wanted a light and airy coastal aesthetic to carry throughout the entire home, starting in the kitchen. The oversized woven pendants and rattan bar stools provide warmth while the black cabinet hardware with back plates provide a modern touch. This kitchen also provides ample storage for guests who want to stay a bit longer.
LIVING ROOM
The living room is situated between the outdoor patio and kitchen, so we wanted it to remain neutral and understated while still having some coastal moments. We brought in blue chairs to tie into the blue kitchen backsplash, a rattan lamp to tie into the kitchen pendants, and distressed light wood to tie into the barstools. The large doors that open to the patio really allow for an easy transition from indoor to outdoor living.
POWDER BATH
We wanted the powder bath to be unique and beautiful but stay in the modern coastal aesthetic, so we added floor-to-ceiling board and batten in a light blue paint color and tile that mimicked the look of sand. To let the wall treatment have its moment, we just added 1 woven piece of artwork to the walls.
PRIMARY BEDROOM AND BATHROOM
The primary bedroom continues the coastal color palette but incorporates some darker wood tones to warm up the space. This room has a little patio with a nice reading space and a hot tub and well as a large primary bathroom. We put a beautiful mosaic tile on the wall that almost looks like a wallpaper from far away, but up close provides a beautiful texture to the space.
GIRL'S BEDROOM
This room has a soft yet fun and feminine color palette, featuring a board and batten wall with alternating spacing. The art in the room was picked by our client to showcase some fun llamas!
KIDS BATHROOM
This bathroom was so fun to design! An elevated kids bathroom with a modern coastal feel, this space features a timeless patterned tile on the floor and a shower tile that almost looks like mermaid scales. The paint color on the vertical shiplap ties in so well to the shower tile, and the combination of materials in this bathroom create the perfect dreamy look and feel.
GUEST SUITE
This guest bedroom and bath was designed with a cohesive color palette with shades of dark blue and white carries throughout. The wooden mirrors and woven sconces bring warmth into both spaces, while keeping them neutral and relaxing for guests.
BUNK ROOM
This bunk room was such a fun space to design! It can sleep 6 guests or kids, has easy access to beds through the pipe ladders, and each bunk comes equipped with its own sconce and outlet. It has a subtle and tasteful nautical theme while still feeling cohesive with the rest of the home.
OUTDOOR SPACES
This home had quite a few patios to furnish throughout the three stories. We made each its own special space while keeping similar textures throughout. We also added a few elements that guests will be excited about, like the egg chair and hot tub!
UPSTAIRS LIVING ROOM
The landing area between guest bedrooms was designed to be a media room and game room combined, with various aspects guests will be excited to utilize.
